Cathy Irby Durant is an award-winning Writer, Producer, and Director with a portfolio of over 200 video, television, and film productions, including music videos, documentaries, TV series, and commercials. Her work includes popular music videos airing on BET and MTV, such as Ann Nesby Live in Concert, a behind-the-scenes Documentary on Usher, and 35mm music videos for pioneering Atlanta rap artists. She also directed a national TV commercial for Verizon Wireless featuring Brian McKnight and produced the History of the Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) Army documentary for the U.S. Pentagon.
Durant is the creator, writer, and director of Through the Eyes of a Caddie, a golf documentary featuring Augusta National Masters’ caddie Carl Jackson, distributed by MVD. Her work has aired internationally, including broadcasts in Shanghai.
She is the Writer, Producer, and Director of I Am That I Am, a faith-based TV series now streaming on Amazon Prime in the U.S., Germany, and Japan. Episode 2 is in post-production.

A pioneer in both news and entertainment, Durant began her media career at NBC-affiliate WALA-TV and WBLX-FM in Mobile, Alabama. She went on to win a Gold Telly Award and Aurora Award for a Pentagon-commissioned environmental documentary and served as VP of Women in Film Atlanta.
She is the founder of Devine Communications Video & Film Production and its feature film division, Devine Motion Pictures, where she continues to tell bold, purpose-driven stories for global audiences.
